(3,399 posts)natural and beautiful when I was young. Pollution and erosion of the shoreline have since taken a toll on the lake. 50+ years ago you could safely ride horses down the lakebank to the shore, and the fish were not all contaminated with mercury and PFAs. I recently read that 22 million pounds of plastics enter the Great Lakes each year ☹️
Our old farm is long gone; land that was once part of farms and orchards is now public park lands. Time marches on.......

"The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol that depicts an eye, often enclosed in a triangle and surrounded by rays of light or glory, meant to represent divine providence, whereby the eye of God watches over humanity."

While I'm not "religious" I think this is neat and your photo reminds me of it.

(5,420 posts)I used to think religious and spiritual were the same thing, but as I have gotten older I've realized I am a spiritual being.
Not religious.
I am humbled to receive your kind comments.

Spiritual fits my belief system as well. Manmade religion...not so much.
