This guy was in my backyard yesterday, 4 ft long with the diameter of a silver dollar. Good guy rat snake that has been eating well!

is they completely ignore you, no aggression, no fear, they just continue on their way like you are not there. Which if you stumble upon one, can make you hurt yourself, LOL

10. i'm guessing you're in FL

when i lived there, the yellow rat snakes from central to north FL were dirty brown colored and in the southern half of FL they were more yellow.....the farther south you go, the stripes start disappearing. the ones from everglades national park and south into the keys were brick orange with almost no striping and were categorized as a separate subspecies, with the common name "everglades rat snake".
