France again

This is the last lot from the trip we took 15 years ago.
Small village scenes along the Tarn river. I couldn't get enough of these villages. Good thing I was shooting slides and not digital. I might never have finished the bike ride.

The first photo, and some of your posting yesterday of "More tourist pictures from France," remind me of Rocamadour off to the northwest of there. Similar geology and similar building construction. Those stone masons 600 to 900 years ago were sure talented!

Thank you for the wonderful photos. They make me want to plan a visit there and brush up on my rusty French.

It is hard to see well unless you get to the other side of the valley.
The town is so steep. It has been a tourist trap from the Crusades.
There is also a church/shrine cut into the cliff wall near the top.

For all the generous comments.

I am stiil waiting for 2 more boxes of stuff from the US to show up. Going through 40+ years of memories will help distract me from some events going on today.

Once again, thanks for helping me stay sane(ish).
