Visited a nature preserve today, took some photographs (something for the bird lovers)

This one I futzed around in photoshop... not sure I like it (darkened and blurred the background). May futz some more.



Cabin roof was moss-covered



A pair of hawks



Male (so I was told) hawk



Female (so I was told) hawk -- she got all puffy after the male joined her in the tree



Fungus in the root system of a downed tree

I know next to nothing about birds. They have feathers, they fly and often the males are prettier than the females. That's my bird knowledge.
