On my Nikon DSLR, I tried a R72 filter. Exposure times were quite long. I don't remember how long exactly, but anything that moved in the wind was blurry. You'd need a day with zero winds and we just don't get too many of those around here. The R72 filter is also extremely hard to clean. All in all it wasn't really a great experience.
