In another IR thread I posted that IR can't penetrate

glass (or water). I've found numerous educational sites that verify that. Experience in military and police FLIR also verify that.

Now I want to know if IR can't penetrate glass, how the hell does it get focused by the glass lenses in our cameras? It makes no sense!

Argggg, I foresee many hours pouring over the internet . . .

In the dictionary, next to anal retentive, my portrait.

In the IR spectrum. You're thinking thermal imaging which is at the far end of the IR range.

This may help keep you from spending too much time on the internet. If you have a specific question I can try to help.
