Taking it to eleven (definite dialup warning!)

I was developing yesterday's pictures and got to toying around with the colors...pushed a few to downright cartoonish, which I happen to quite like even though it's entirely unrealistic, and left a few with just some minor S-curves and vibrance tweaks. Nothing for a the wall, but fun anyway..

Orange tarps, sapphire sky

Intrepid at last light

Flotsam and jetsam

Joisey under the setting sun

Really pushing it here...I think the buildings could stand more orange

Convert the first one to B&W using the Red filter to see what it does to the sky. alfredo Mar 2013 #2

on your first one. Also like it on the rusty barrel though that one does cross over to cartoonish slightly. I really like it when I look at a photo and think the light really needs to be warmer only to then read that you though the same thing about your skyline. It is fun to play with stuff in editing program and a great way to learn.

I had a similar sky on my image of Old Morrison. Here's what conversion did. I had to lighten the image a bit to bring out some detail in the sky. Different color filters can make dramatic changes.

I like playing with pictures.
It takes a lot of time, but I always look for something different.
