...great perspective, it draws the eye in, and the black and white gives it atmosphere. Even if it is suburban hell

looking like rubber stamps, and so very many would like and need a piece of that.
My second reaction to it is that I would like to see the sky cropped off in its entirety. Or down to a few millimeters.

not access to their own back yard. If they wanted to go there they have to walk down to the end of the row and pass through their neighbor's yards.
