I used GIMP, Beautify Lomo, FIL vintage, and converted to B&W. That's all I remember. alfredo Aug 2013 #4

And, as I understand it, the photo the woman wants me to use is soft focus. I think a treatment like this might save a bad or mediocre photo. What software/technique did you use?

Plugin path

/gimp/contents/resources/share/gimp/2.0/scripts

Pay attention to the date on the scripts. They need to be compatible with 2.8.

I did one of these in Gimp, but I couldn't figure out how to save it as a jpeg. It was only semi-successful. So I bought some "actions" for PhotoShop and came up with these.

None of them are what I had in mind, but I like the last one.

Okay, found it. I have to export rather than save. This is the Gimp image.

I forgot to tell you to access the path by right clicking the gimp icon and choose "Show Contents."

I find that it is easier to straighten an image in iTunes, then export to GIMP from there.

Used old photo (I think), added noise (wasn't, sufficient for my taste), black and white and colorized.

I downloaded some filters, trying to get the vintage photo filter, but I don't know how to load them. I put them in the scripts folder in the applications support folder, but they don't show up anywhere.
