Pet Cemetery

Apparently I live pretty close to a somewhat famous pet cemetery--J. Edgar Hoover has some of his dogs interred there and some folks had their ashes buried with their companions.

I drive by it all the time but thought nothing of it... just figured it was another cemetery that didn't seem all that impressive.

Anyway, a few images from my excursion.

How did they get Frosty to stand?

A very unfortunate name (I don't mean to offend anyone... I couldn't believe someone named their animal this so needed photographic proof)

I think photographically Honey Girl is my fave too but I'm so perplexed by Frosty's photo that it's going to bother me for days and days.

When I saw the statue I thought he'd have a name like Bruiser and something more along those lines.

It's rather sad, actually, it appears the cemetery has fallen on hard times. A lot of the ground plaques are covered up and there's lots of growth in others that would make it impossible to see the markers in the summer.

They need to get some goats in there to eat up the muck.

that is so old as I am with the pictures. You are lucky to have seen it and documented it.

Never been in a 'Critter Cemetery' though.

Love the perspective and 'tone' of these photos.

Seems she was so much more than that. She merited a headstone in a cemetary. That counts for a lot IMHO.

That one triggered to most emotion from me.

There's one I didn't capture all of but basically it stated their dog was better than any man.
