Actually, the photo is great, but the ice doesn't. Will that kill the cactus? Probably killed the bud.

I have never seen it as far north as PA, but it looks like it goes a lot further north. And I do a lot of hiking around. But I sure did see a ton of it when I lived in Texas.

So, in your photo, that was not a bud?
