My husband picked up some kind of 24-hour bug while we were down in San Francisco last week and spent Saturday sleeping it off in our hotel room. Even though it was kind of damp out, I decided to go for a walk rather than hang around while he slept, so I walked up Sutter to Polk, then down to the Marina, over to Beach Street and ended up at the Palace of Fine Arts. By that time, it was raining pretty good, but I tried to take some pictures anyway, especially when I saw a fancy wedding (or wedding pictures) going on under the dome. With raindrops and mist all over my lens (since I forgot to take lens hoods down there with me), here's a picture of the "radiant" bride. I think I like it.

(22,380 posts)the almost identical repeat in size and shape as the sky at the top. I love it when something like that happens.

(31,374 posts)We ran into a bride being photographed outside the Natural History Museum
in Vienna when we were there. I tried and tried to get a shot of the
photoshoot, and ended up with zip. It was just too windy. Her veil
was being blown all over the place--and I couldn't get positioned
to take advantage of the scene and her. But I did get a not so pleasant
view of the photographer trying to get a good shot.
