5. the boubon orleans

i went for an event called pardi gras. its an annual trop rock (jimmy buffett style music) gathering held during mlk weekend. i go every year

6. wow that's cool. Lived in the Quarter for three years and I was just totally amazed

at how much goes on there....even a Tuba festival weekend - amazing to see a zillion tubas in one place. On my very first weekend there I heard some commotion so I ran out to my balcony and it was a parade of male bicyclists - all completely naked. Only there ! I live in TX now and miss NOLA so much. The only event going on here most times are something like a tractor pull.

I will have to check out pardi gras some time - sounds like you'd meet lots of chilled out people.

9. I hate to even utter the word because people shutter. I usually say 100

miles north of Austin or south of Dallas on I-35.

I took some street people pics when we went to Nola for Thanksgiving. Almost submitted this first one for "things in a row" (accordion)
