3. Yesterday we tied an all-time record

for warmest January 23 -- 48 degrees. The forecast is for the unseasonably warm to continue for at least the next week, and it's already been going on for about 10 days. It's really pretty unprecedented. We often get warm winds in January, but the warm-up usually only lasts a few days. This has been a very, very bizarre "winter" for us.

10. It's going back up to the 60's here in a day or two.

And then it's supposed to get cold again. Weird!

But it is bizarre in the opposite way for us. I never did envy people in Alaska during the winter......until now.

Wise birds attracted to your yard and lucky us get to see them from your camera. You got a good eye friend...throwing some heat your way...but Central Florida is freezing, 58' feels like 53' this afternoon, that's a very cold day for this Floridian.

I am surprised at how much snow you have, but I am more surprised that a junco is that far south. Interesting.

17. I get them every year. Lots of them. I was surprised by the snow amount too.

My yard & the surrounding hill looks like a Junco vacation city this time of year. They leave just as the Cedar Waxwings arrive.
