Sharing my process and (some) of my many, many mistakes.
Basic set-up. Using a piece of glass from a picture frame. Balance the glass so that it is level on both sides. Place something in the middle that will elevate your subject. You may have to use trial and error to figure out the optimum position of your glass to subject for the best photo results.
Water sprayer. RainX (a must have). Paper towels. Follow the directions on the box for the RainX. Makes the water bead beautifully. I treated both sides of the glass. The spray bottle is used to spray the glass after it is treated. Keep it handy! You will need to treat the glass with RainX more than once. (if you're like me and keep making mistakes)
The photography lights are the small table variety and are placed inside the open sided wooden tables (left and right). I used different things to defuse the light. Sometimes bubble-wrap and sometimes tissue paper. You can tape them over the lights or place them in front of the lights. Whatever works for you. I cut up various color tissue paper to make the rainbow (Thought about doing "Over the Rainbow"
. I also used candy. ( for "The Candy Man" Your subject will be placed on the stool or coffee can or box you use in the center position under the glass. I used all three over several days.
I also created beach ball/balloon/Gem stone like droplets for "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" and "Across the Universe". I used a straight line multi-folded rainbow configuration that I glued to paper, a rainbow where I clued small pieces of tissue paper to white construction paper to create the gem effect, and loose pieces piled next to each other.
A few of my oopsies (that I ended up liking anyway)
I used a Nikon D3200, a Panasonic DMC-ZS7, and a Nikon AW100. I used Picasa for post-processing.

I'm touched you remember my egg daisy. I had a lot of fun doing those photos. I still eye eggs differently.
Actually tried to think of a way to do "Mother and Child Reunion" with eggs and chicken but didn't really want to deal with keeping food fresh looking for a shoot. I don't have a broody hen (or any kind) so I couldn't do one sitting on eggs either. But I like the song and thought it would be cute. Maybe one day...
