Here there be dragons

Well, not dragons exactly, but here's a sample of what I found on a recent project. I helped a friend clean out his friend's recently deceased father's house, which is a whole 'nother story. Suffice it to say, "Holy shit! I'll never do that again." Among other items of horror and amusement, we found about 4 of these desiccated guys.

I think they could be called rattus very deadus.

And I want one. I have 4 skulls so far---deer, raccoon, squirrel, and some long-beaked bird. And a complete mummified bird.

I don't blame you for saying you will not do this again. I feel sorry for whoever is stuck cleaning out my house, although I do not expect them to find dead rats. Dead mice would not surprise me.
