What was your most favorite contest theme we've had to date? I think mine was sunrise/sunset. I also liked black and white.

(90,762 posts)I learned a lot getting my photo for that contest. I was still new to photography and I worked hard to get a shot I felt good about.

That theme opens up infinite possibilities!
I like taking photos of things with texture, too.

Wabi-sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete"

Dystopia is a strange them as technically (according to Webster's) dystopia is an imaginary place.
I would guess it's used to describe someplace unpleasant where people live in squalor, overcrowding, or such. I guess maybe Appalachia, some inner city areas, or tent cities would qualify.

BUT
I always like is when we do a color. Because one never knows what will be submitted and it's very exciting to me.
I remember really liking the contest "Green".
