I went to Quarryhill Botanical Gardens today

If you are in the North Bay or Sonoma, or know someone there I recommend this place. I got a deal on Amazon Local, and wouldn't have known about it otherwise. It's 25 acres, and they specialize in Asian, particularly Chinese, plants. But there are lots of familiar things, too. Here's a sampling.

White Dogwood

Yellow Dogwood

Locust

Incoming!

Don't know what this was, but the leaves were about a foot in diameter.

And it's nesting time for the stupidest birds ever invented. Toweys fight themselves in any reflective surface to the point of drawing blood. This car was parked next to mine, and mine sports a little blood as well.

There were also some wonderful very large sculptures displays throughout the gardens, which will be there for a year. I hope they continue displaying sculpture. It really adds to the experience.

I have a few suggestions if you are willing. You can spray hair spray on the outside of the window so that it is no longer reflective and she will not see the competitor reflected. Another option is to buy or make a silhouette of a bird of prey in flight and tape it on the window. I made one by cutting out a piece of cardboard and painting it flat black. Or you can try hanging streamers down the window that will flutter.
