Related: About this forumA couple of hummers
When the agapanthus blooms I know the hummers aren't far behind. They love these deep purpley, blue blossoms.
Resting up for the next trip to the agapanthus.
And a warbler for good measure. She was waiting for a free moment at the bird bath.

(20,886 posts)Just over $200. I'm really pleased with this camera. It's a great travel camera. Comes in black, too, but mine is plum.
Here's a good review.

(60,071 posts)That looks like a real good super zoom. It looks like it is good in low light.

Yeah, I'm really pleased with this camera. Telephoto, at full extension, is a little tricky. You really need to find a way to brace it. I've developed a fast way by putting the strap around my neck, holding the camera with my right hand and wrapping my left in the strap and pulling to create tension. You set up a pretty stable triangle that way.
I'm always amazed at what I can get out of adverse conditions. The only thing the camera doesn't do is RAW.

(60,071 posts)Have you tried a monopod?

(20,886 posts)But, ya know, it's just too difficult when I'm having a glass of wine, surfing the web and photographing birds at the same time.

(30,733 posts)We plant red salvia near our back patio. That always attracts the hummingbirds. I saw one just a couple of days ago. I just enjoy the moments when I see them, because I could never capture the images the way you do.
Thanks for posting.

Our Agapanthus blooms have come and gone. Faded to dead stalks several weeks ago.
