3. I love Venice Beach.

Whenever I go to see the kids, I always spend a day alone at Venice Beach with a camera and a couple of lenses. There's just so much going on there. I must have walked 10 miles.

Here's a funny story. We were taking Aiman for his soccer practice the last Saturday I was down there, and there wasn't a place to park anywhere around. Finally, Kristina said, "Oh, that's right, they're shooting today." Being Alaskan, my first thought, "There's a shooting range here?" She goes, "No, mom, we're in HOLLYWOOD!" Of course, she meant filming something. Culture shock. LOL.

I have a sister in California, and I also have to go to Venice Beach every time I go out there. I don't see things like that in my little rural town.
