Banded Sphinx Moth Caterpillar

Eumorpha fasciatus

HUGE beautiful caterpillar.

I played around with Perfect Effects....just seeing something.

It's a pinkish orange red thing with yellow and white markings, as well as black spots.

Those spots look a bit like eyeballs.

Very nice photo--love the twigs in the background.

I could have looked up the moth.. I didn't.
They are the life of my garden,, not so much of the plants they eat.

The caterpillars are a beautiful green with orange spots.

Not all moths are pretty.....but I'd never say that to their face.
