When I owned a house, in DC, we had 2 great ones, one 'umbrella,' but they became diseased and we sold the house. I'm happy to have this variety here, in friend's suburban neighborhood.

7. Around here we have a lot of Silver Maple. When the wind blows, the silver

underside of the leaf is exposed. It also produces sugar like the Sugar Maple, but not as much.
