Did you plan it? Mine was a total accident. Didn't even know it was there until I got the photos

Stopped under a small grove of trees @ 13th and Independence. Glare on my flat-screen camera view-finder is a real nuisance, so shade is essential to the best pics.

Here's another, which you may have seen 'elsewhere.' It's clearly a well-used flight path, and 31 years ago I/we flew over the Cherry Blossoms on our trip to Florida for our wedding (at my folks' home.)

and brings me back every year (in spite of the 'troubles.') I returned AGAIN, today, and got better pics. Crowds much smaller, so I was able to get TO the Tidal Basin.
