Do you think some birds see you a lot, kind of get to know you, and don't mind your getting close to them?

Some might even figure out you are a benefactor?

Fewer birds stop by if anyone else is with me. As long as I'm alone the birds go about their feeding and playing...ignoring me.

That said - Hummingbirds actually light on my SO. They've perched on his shoulders and his arms. So, he wins.
