Photoshop Fun

While photography is my favorite group here on DU, I've been absent quite a bit lately. The political situation where I live has been unstable and volatile during the past 1.5 years, and I've had my head wrapped up in that instead. I realized a few months back that for my general health and well-being, I needed to step back from that and do more photography and photoshop and maybe learn a few things along the way and not let political idiocy drive me nuts. At least from a while.

Increased size of clock, rotated and positioned it, added background texture. Removed portions of the clock and texture from places where it didn't belong. Added snow with a snowflake brush. Plus a few additional steps along the way.

That is a great reminder that photography exists on a sliding scale from "photo as documentation" to "photo as art" to "art that started off as a photo".

Sometimes you think you have a good idea and it works out.

And sometimes it doesn't..
