The smoke having cleared, I went to Berryessa today in search of good clouds

Whoops. Clear in the Napa Valley after the rain, but the smoke settled in Pope Valley and east. I did get one scene with some nice clouds, although the distance was hazy from the smoke, and I'm actually pointed south, away from the Valley Fire.

Three versions of the same scene: vertical; horizontal; and panorama.

I took a few where I zoomed in a bit to reduce the water, but I didn't like them as well. NV Whino Sep 2015 #6
Nice! I like the panorama best but they're all great. CaliforniaPeggy Sep 2015 #4

but the panorama is especially nice. I think that the low spot of the clouds right in the middle makes it very appealing. I probably would have done it without so much of the water, and I would have made a big mistake there.
