(149,595 posts)What a great procession you have here.
We saw it briefly at totality but the clouds were not cooperative at all. It was still lovely, through the thin veil of clouds, though.

The cosmos was with us here in Paris, France this night. Absolutely cloudless skies and pollutionless air.
Had to wake up at 3h45 a.m., but was witness to an unequalled two hour+ spectacle from my fourth-floor living room window.
MAGNIFICENT! I was shouting to the empty street below: "Elle est ROUGE, elle est vraiment ROUGE !" It's RED, it's really RED!"
to nature for a once-in-twenty-year show!
Thanks for posting Earth_First!

(46,436 posts)Too rainy here, plus it was only going to be partial in Alaska, so I'm happy to see that you folks down south got to see the show. These are great shots.

But this morning at 5:30a I headed east on the east-west biketrail.
With a clear morning I could see my shadow ahead. I turned around
and headed west on same path at 6:30a and the full moon was
so bright I stopped, took my horn-rimmed glasses off and pulled
my cap down to my brow. It was like the setting sun instead
of the setting moon. The releif was the rising sun at my back
diffusing the moon-glow. WOW!!!
Best 10 miler ever.
