My husband makes his own dog cookies. They are nothing but rice and oat flour, a little cinnamon and honey. I won't even eat those, even though he swears they're good.

...rolled into a morsel that was dry as the hills of Gilboa, as the old saying goes. Not a drink of anything in sight to ease my pain.

My wife witnessed the experiment, and her commentary was not supportive.

he would ask for one from the box in the grocery store. One time I opened the box, gave him the Milk-Bone, (he was sitting in the cart/seat)
as the cashier was checking us out and you should have seen the look on the cashier's face!

...of my cousin, Maryrose, and I scarfing on a box of Milk Bones while sitting on the floor of our grandma's kitchen. We were each about five years old, and had gotten them out of a lower cabinet.

We survived.
