I use On1 software. Not free, but reasonable and awesome.

(60,071 posts)3. I am using the new OSX Photos now for Raw conversion.
I also use Aurora software as a plugin. My B&W conversions are done in Tonality. I do fine tuning and resizing in GIMP. It has some features missing in Photos, AKA Aperture lite.
