Easter Sunday thread 3

Next stop was the upper valley campus of Napa Valley College. I like the architecture of this place. There are those who despise its minimalist style, but it came in under budget and has won all kinds of design awards. It's a great place to photograph. These pillars with reflected light are what created me this morning.

I hadn't been there in a while and was surprised to find an addition. These are busts of men and women who have contributed to the culinary presence in the Valley, including Robert Mondavi, which is a bit of a stretch, but what the hey. The likenesses are sometimes a bit of a stretch, too. I like the idea, but I think the placement could have been more creative. These were commissioned by Narsi David and his wife, which may explain the exceptional quality of the second bust in on the last photo. Julia Child, looking more like Beethoven than Julia, is just behind him.
