Ok, it's me again! Justiceischeap is going on vacation soon and won't be back in time to host October, so I agreed to host. That's all dependent upon us not being
hit by Hurricane Matthew--which right now is headed directly our way and currently predicted to be Cat 2 when it may hit North Carolina this weekend-- IF it stays on course.
I'm not messing around with this one. We haven't done a color in a while, so I think it would be fun to do the color.... are you ready?...can you guess?
yes, orange!
Submissions will open Thursday, October 13 (pending functional internet here).
So get out your cameras and go find something orange! Have fun!

(31,384 posts)NC has had some devastating ones that were inland--but not during the 16 years we've been living here. I hope Matthew takes a turn out to sea before it gets here. We have so many
trees and overhead power lines that getting power back up is a real challenge any time we get strong winds.

(31,384 posts)my oldest son's birthday is in October. We had dinner with him and his partner last night, then came over for birthday cake at the house.
My youngest son and I collected beanie babies when he was about 8 or 9 when beanie babies were all the rage (we sold the collection to make a nice
profit for his college fund). I had kept a few, but they were destroyed in our fire. Several years ago--he's now in his 20's--he gave me some beanies
for Christmas with the Halloween theme. So I put them out as a centerpiece last night for the table for dessert.
So, ok, here's Spooky (the ghost) with Radar (the bat) perched above it on a vase my son brought back from Berlin
and the song.
