I love how mushrooms sprout up from nowhere. Love the color and shapes.

Glad that you didn't step on it or you would have missed a nice shot!

It's interesting that mushrooms were considered food for the poor and now many varieties are so expensive they are next to impossible to purchase - at least for the average person.

You can get kits and small dowels inoculated with the spores. The dowels are driven into an oak or other hardwood logs and placed in a proper location.

You punch the holes out of the cardboard & water the contents & shrooms start sprouting. It was weird looking, but they were good!
