Here comes the sun...as Snowy and I begin our walk
Two of the three young deer coming through the neighborhood as Snowy and I returned from our walk
Two miniature camellias on a bush near the bird feeder (which I went out to fill)
And my Christmas cactus finally bloomed this year!

(90,762 posts)We don't celebrate but I enjoy baking, so we do indulge in the food traditions.
I'm making (all from scratch) dark chocolate fudge with walnuts, banana pudding, pumpkin pie, lemon cake, and peanut butter cookies. The cakes are in the oven and the crusts have been made. I should be finished by noon.
I'll take a platter of sweets to the men and women working the gate. (army post)

Had a tough time with the holiday spirit this year. No tree. Suggested to my husband we do a trip to NY instead of presents so
we're going for three days right after New Year's.
I wish I could be in your kitchen. It must smell wonderful!
