I try to remember this quote during these dark days, my friends.

(86,330 posts)I'm in Montana too but in a windy valley where there isn't all that much accumulation. If there is a bit of snow, we got about 14 inches about a week ago but it all blew away within a few days. We got 8 inches yesterday and it's half melted already.
I'm new to this area, much lower elevation here so much less winter than I am used to... the transition from approximately 7,000ft to just a tad over 5,000ft is more significant than many might imagine.

(86,330 posts)and today, it's warm and snow is melting, I was out brushing the horse and I saw green grass growing around the fence posts. It will be spring here sooner than much of the state as I'm in the southern band of the state.

(2,521 posts)A humble request - daffodils next. They are the happiest flower - and seem to shout to the skies, "Spring is here, and it is going to be FUN!"

(21,596 posts)We have pansies, daffodils, paperwhite narcissus, camellias and star magnolias blooming here in the Southeast. I hope there's not a hard freeze. It's been so warm and wet that flower buds are bursting out every where!

Before I left home for a week, to do a few things in the suburbs, I spoke to 'my' crocus patch, in case it needed reminding that it's TIME!
