The photos with the ferns and the water drops are truly amazing.

I love the textures of the ferns! And the drops are transparent plus they magnify what they rest on! Stunning work.

The other two are lovely two, of course!

Thank you for sharing your great work.

The ferns turned out as I hoped. I saw them out of the corner of my eye and I stopped in my tracks.

In the fall they put on quite a show. If you are lucky and are there when the trees fall, you get to see a golden rain. Everything is covered in the fallen leaves. Clay introduced those trees to Ky.

I wait until 6 PM Before heading out. Usually the wind has calmed a bit too. These were taken around 3:30 ro 4pm, but there were shadows and passing clouds to make for ideal conditions.

My Prickly Pears are threatening to bloom any day now.

Lucky for us humans, many predators find us lacking in fat and nutrients.

We had arrived at a lake where the hippos roam. The ranger had just told us that hippos are some of the fastest, slyest, and most singularly dangerous animals that prey on humans.
They apparently don't swim much, they stand in the water, but are submerged. We saw the outlines of backs.
On our safari mobile was one smoker. He is heavily addicted. Right after we parked he asked the ranger: Can I step off a minute?
Ranger: Are you effin' kidding me? They come out and grab you before you got the match lit.
