Photography
Related: About this forumWell, I have decided to try out a new photo hosting site: Postimage.org.
It seems to be simple enough. I drag and drop the photo onto the site.
The only problem I was having was after uploading a photo, that photo was the only one I could see. Any previous uploads had disappeared, and I had no idea how to find them.
Just now, I clicked on that first image, and behold, there were the rest of the images! All neatly displayed in a row.
There has to be another way to find them. This works for now, since I only have a few images on board.
Also, I wanted to group them into albums. Do you name the album first and then load the photos into them, or ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just created an account. I had always used the service anonymously (no account) for posting images to DU.

Looks like you can create a new gallery--naming it whatever you want--and it will hold the photos you upload to it. All looks pretty simple.
I may go back through the contests over the last couple of years and upload the photos I entered (all linked on photobucket) before my photobucket
account no longer allows third party hosting when my paid subscription expires (end of October, I think). I would like to have a record of the photos I've entered.

(149,528 posts)I wish they had a feature like Photobucket where you could see all the photos at once. I liked that.

(31,374 posts)I've made two galleries:
DU contest photos and Pet photos
underneath it shows 2 for DU contest photos. If you click the photo, it opens the gallery and then shows you all photos in the gallery.
If you want to create a new album, write in the name in the gray space where it says Gallery name and then click create a new gallery.
It brings up the upload screen for you to choose the photos.
It really is fairly intuitive...and I'm a click to try it computer person. I have no idea what I'm doing, but just feel my way.

(149,528 posts)I am not intuitive around computers, at all! When I first joined Photobucket, I found it so difficult that I asked NVWhino to call me so she could tell me step by step how to do it!
Then I was OK.
