Since the death of my wife a week ago, my camera has turned more often toward the sun and sky.

(16,858 posts)I'm no photographer, but I love photography. This second rate photo was taken on my iPhone as I took the dogs out Monday morning, prior to Irma's rains here in Nashville. If our souls are a part of all our world, I'd hope to be a part of a rainbow.

(1,660 posts)Here's my rainbow story. Last Friday, two days after her death, Kathleen sent me a single enormous crack of thunder and a magnificent double rainbow. I took it as her way of telling me that she arrived home safely, and is quite pleased to be there.
But maybe it was just thunder and a rainbow. We each make our own meanings - this is the one that works for me..

The Wielding Truth
(11,415 posts)great cosmos stretches and wanes. To everything, there is a moment of existence and a brief and tender thread in the wondrous tapestry where we must learn the lessons of our journey.
Thank you and those like you who can open the window so we can see that moment.

The trees, that breathe her name in the wind...
The birds, that show her soul taking flight...
Beautiful, wonderful images, my dear jackalope...
Please allow us to continue to participate in your ongoing journey...

(1,678 posts)You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Peace be with you.
