These macro shots have such great details and colors.

Using a ring light really helps with color and detail. I used a 10mm extension tube and a 30mm 2.8 lens.

make my heart and soul gasp.
On the third one, I'd like to see it cropped a bit at the bottom, to me that would make all the blue spots balance to perfection.

I tried different crops but I’m still thinking there is more I can do to make the negative space work.

Thanks for posting them.

I'm living in an apartment now--17th floor city view--and my sole blooming plant is a waterfall begonia that I potted and put out on my balcony. I don't know if my knees can handle bending down to get a close-up, but you've motivated me to try!

It’s easy getting down. The hard part is getting back up. My right leg is the weak one. When I fall, it is on the right side.
