(6,110 posts)Those are the two surviving fragments of "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe" by Monet, not to be confused with the more scandalous painting of the same name by Manet.

(4,999 posts)Reminds me of our week there a couple of years ago. Van Gogh in the D'Orsay museum blew me away. Monet was my second favorite.
Almost all of those impressionist artists were hanging around Paris for a period of only about 10 years as I recall, and made some incredible works in that time.
