Related: About this forumMeet my latest garden visitor - the Milkweed Tiger Mother Caterpillar
It's a breezy night so I had trouble getting a really clear photo, but I was afraid if I waited until morning, it would be gone. This is the first time I've seen this type of caterpillar. There were a couple on this milkweed.

(60,071 posts)4. I sed to eat milkweed leaves. you have to boil them several times
to get out all the latex. It's very rich and full of Vit A. You can eat all parts of the plant, but you need to know when to eat each part of the plant, and how to prepare them. Some species are more toxic than others.
