Ducks in a row!

While on a bike ride the other day I spotted these "ducks in a row".

Taken with my phone, zooming in and color has not been enhanced. Adequate photo, but I think it's funny!

The green stuff in the water, surprising, is called duck weed.

4. Fabulous ducks, and color

Is that water full of sludge? forgive if it is an ignorant question.

6. They are tiny little leaves floating on the water. If you step into the water

they vanish off to the sides. I don't know if it is considered an algae or what type of plant. But it is a very fine layer floating on top of clear water.

7. No sludge, although it looks like it.

Actually it's part of a very healthy wetland! So glad that they made a biking/walking path through it.
