1. Gotta' love shorpy.
I was really impressed the first time I saw his colorized images of Lincoln, and the Civil War.
EDIT: Those are some outstanding b&w shots. Shows me what is possible. |

5. I've got to say that the clarity and crispness of those photos is breathtaking.
I'm kind of at a loss for clear expression on what they make me feel, but they seem to step right out into living reality.

9. Well I do have a bit of a thing for B&W
Lately I've gone new school/old school hybrid, shooting and processing digitally then wet printing. However I really want to get into old school with wet plate collodion.

The quality of the images is just stunning - such sharp clarity, amazing. And the subjects - from boats and ships, to trains, industrial activity, ordinary people in everyday occupations; these photographs could be invaluable sources for research in a number of topics.
