While the second is nice, the desaturation to the left accented the bokeh and distracted from the image.
Mind you, just my own opinion.

Since I downloaded Silver Efex I've been like a kid with a new tool, gotta try to find a place to use it in every situation. It doesn't always produce the better result.

Thanks for the constructive feedback, it's one of the reasons I post.

edit: I also learned a new word: "bokeh." I had to look that one up...

As for "bokeh", the word annoys me for some reason. It makes me think of "bokeh of flowers".
It sounds French, or maybe Japanese.
We need a good 'Murican word for soft focus background.
