Rescued a Great Blue Heron (shot) yesterday

Last edited Sat Sep 19, 2020, 07:47 AM - Edit history (1)

They were not shots I'd deem exceptional so I really pumped the sharpness, contrast and saturation. Far beyond what I'd usually do but members of DU deserve a break sometimes from the doom and gloom. VOTE

As I walked along this Blue just kept his distance, walking away from me as I tried to get closer.

I knew he was going to fly away eventually as I neared and managed to get his backside.

Great Whites. In my Kayak I can't get within 75 yards of a Blue but Whites will join me on the fishing dock.

I lived on Clear Lake, CA for 10 years & my hobby was taking pics of all the wonderful bird life.
I wish I could share them with you, but I don't know how to put them up/
Any suggestions?

If you have a Dropbox or Google account, you can upload your files there. Then you copy the URL of the image & paste it in your response on DU. Google "how to share photos online" for better instructions.

I love birds and would love to see your pics.
