This one is worth viewing fullscreen, IMHO.
For the fun of it, here's what's over that ridge, and a few miles beyond. We finally made it up there this year via a different trail.
For those intererested, this is a panorama composed of six separate stills, handheld. (I am *not* hauling a tripod 7 miles and 4200' elevation gain along with my normal backpacking stuff. My little rx100ii camera is all I take for photography )

Starting to get a little crowded though.
We figure we have to hike 5 miles just to get beyond the crowds and start to get a true feeling of solitude in the wilderness.
