When I was searching google photos of red headed birds, eventually I guessed at Cassin's Finch.

Googled that and found this picture, which seemed to more or less match my picture.

I grew up in Connecticut and my gramma's favorite birds were Cardinals for whom she kept a hanging feeder full. She'd sit and watch them out her picture window.

Tech question, are you using the built in electronic 2x converter? It takes a 10 mpx image and scatters the pixels with info over the whole 20 mpx sensor and then uses AI to fill in the empty pixels. I use it a lot for moon pics and some macro. It's pretty amazing with results that I can't duplicate by crop and resize. I think it's powered by PFM.

As a rule I do not, however, your question reminded me about it so I'm trying it out. We'll see how it goes.
