I had cataract surgery about a week ago, and I've been taking it easy since then. I've been giving my eyeballs a rest, and haven't shot anything. Here are some older pics that I felt like posting, other "reflection" shots that I could have entered in the last contest.
I may be sitting out the next contest. I've been living in Southern California for nearly fifty years, and don't have many good autumn shots.

(3,155 posts)Thanks for the healing vibes.
They wanted to do my cataract surgery last year, but put it off due to the hospitals dealing with Covid. I was more than ready to have this done.

These are wonderful photos, all of them. I especially like the last one, in Century City. That kind of reflection is very cool!

(3,155 posts)My surgery took about twenty minutes for both eyes, and I was awake, but sedated, the whole time. I remember telling the doctors that I thought it was psychedelic! (I don't think either of them were old enough to relate to that). LOL!
I was able to see as soon as I opened my eyes, and didn't need bandages. They sent me home after about an hour.
I've been wearing glasses since I was eight years old. This has been a big adjustment. I keep reaching for my glasses. LOL!

(3,155 posts)I was in Milwaukee, my hometown, for a gallery show of my photos. I had to go out and do some shooting. It was 14°F that morning. Brrrrrrr
I kept telling myself that it could just as easily have been -14°F instead.
