(3,155 posts)I started taking pictures around the same time, although I didn't think of myself as a "photographer" then. That came a few years later. My first shots were with a Kodak Brownie and an Instamatic. I still have some of them.

(8,867 posts)I wish I had pursued the craft in high school along with mech drawing and typing, which turned out to be worth their weight in gold when computers and CAD came along!

(3,155 posts)As I recall, they were using Nikons and Honeywell strobes. I didn't appreciate it at the time. I was too busy partying in high school.

(8,867 posts)I didn't take typing because I knew computers were coming, but rather to have one more class with a particular girl.
