Is anyone else here a fan of the Classic TV show Emergency?

If you are there is a chat forum run by a firefighter. It was set up almost a year ago when the chat forum on IMDB was shut down. There is an Off Topic section called the Breakroom, but he asks that the topics of Religion and Politics be avoided to prevent drama. If anyone is interested in joining be patient. It may take a day or two to get approved. He doesn't leave it on the automatic setting in order to avoid spammers. Here's the link to it if your interested:

Even as a six year-old kid, I thought Julie London was the most beautiful woman in the world. And I liked Doctor Brackett's shirts and ties. When my parents bought me a series of striped button-up shirts, I called them my 'doctor shirts'.

I was born about 4 months after the show's debut, so I only remember seeing the last season and some of the movies. Dr. Brackett's wardrobe was interesting that's for sure, but Robert Fuller could get away with it. I loved the sideburns too.

We watched it when All in the Family was in reruns, if I'm remembering it correctly. I started watching it on MeTV four years ago and became a fan all over again. I watched the cartoon as well.

I asked the EMT if they were going to give me Ringer's Lactate.

They sadly informed me that it was no longer used for most patients, except for burn victims. I was so disappointed!

I hope it wasn't serious and that you had a quick recovery.

My dad was a firefighter in our volunteer company. He turned to head of the ambulance team after he had a close call falling through a roof.

I follow Randolph Mantooth on Facebook. He does a lot in regards to appearances and fundraising for fire companies and those in service to the community.

My stepfather was a volunteer firefighter. We lived in a village at the time. He only got called in when the neighboring town needed the extra hands. It was mostly MVA's, but occasionally he helped fight fires too.

Johnny Gage and Chet Kelly were my favorite characters, mostly because they were funny. I follow Randolph Mantooth on Facebook as well. Probably my favorite picture of him post Emergency is the one with President Clinton. I'm a big fan of his both for his acting and his advocacy work. I've had a crush on him since I was four. I'm so pleased that he beat cancer and is doing better.

hanging his picture in our basement (pulled fresh out of the latest TigerBeat magazine). I measured 6'1" on the wall and hung it at the appropriate height. One time in art class we were making keychains for our parents as gifts. I made one of John Gage's profile. I was so upset that I had accidentally gone too fast and cut off his nose when I was using the scroll saw to cut it out. Sheesh! Now-a-days, I'd be surprised if kids in 4th grade would be allowed to use a scroll saw in school.

By the way, *LOVE* your name. I'm a beagle person as well. Had two growing up (Barney and Randy). Now we have a German Shepherd. Nobody in our family wanted a small dog. I have to get my beagle love when I take my son to his voice lessons - his teacher has one named Bonkers.

Thanks for the compliment on the name. Several people here seem to like it. We have two 11 year olds. They're stubborn and a handful sometimes but we love them. We lost another one a year and a half ago to cancer. That one had a bottomless pit for a stomach.

Several years ago we fostered a beagle mix named Barney. It's been seven years since his adoption and I still miss him. I'm guessing Randy was named after Randolph. Bonkers is a great name for a dog.

Here's the show's blooper reel. Some of the humor isn't PC and the video quality isn't the best, but still think it's funny:
