Just finished Season 1 Episode 1 of Shameless.

7. Me 2. It's so sad to watch the Emmy Awards and see this incredibly creative show go

unmentioned to the likes of something so banal as Modern Family (or maybe I am the only one who thinks shows like MF and 30 Rock and Parks and Rec are not funny). I hate network sitcoms.

Interesting tidbits on Lip....read an interview. He is the only real smoker on the show. Everyone else fakes it. They decided that it looked fake - so they are moving toward only him smoking now. Also, he likes the sex scenes with Karen better than with Mandy because he and Karen have gotten to know each other well and are very comfortable faking sex now.

Lip did seem to be the most convincing smoker, he seemed to enjoy it a lot, while for the others it was mechanical.

4. Fiona makes me happy to be alive

Great character and played brilliantly by Ms. Rossum. Show only gets better. Watch the brit's version after you watch the US version. Its good as well.

6. OMG wait for season 3. They push the envelope to the nth degree. Emmy Rossum

is incredible. Especially if you see her in real life. She is quite proper and a serious singer. Just shows
what a good actress she is to play that hard edged working class type. My favorite though is Lip.
